Jetzt ist es endlich offiziell. Zwar vorerst "nur" für die Xbox360, aber die anderen werden folgen.

Cologne, Germany – April 8, 2008 – Rock Band’s European tour will be hitting Germany this spring! Harmonix, the leading developer of music-based games, and MTV Games, a division of Viacom’s MTV Networks (NYSE: VIA, VIA.B), along with marketing and distribution partner Electronic Arts, Inc. (NASDAQ: ERTS), today confirmed plans to release the award-winning music video game Rock Band this spring in Germany.

The German release of Rock Band will have an exclusive launch window in Germany on the Xbox 360 videogame console from Microsoft beginning on May 21. Rock Band will be available for additional platforms later this summer.

Rock Band is an all-new platform for music fans and gamers to interact with music. The game challenges players to put together a band and tour for fame and fortune, mastering lead/bass guitar, drums and vocals. With more master recordings than any other music game, Rock Band features some of the world’s biggest rock artists and spans every genre of rock ranging from alternative and classic rock to heavy metal and punk.

In addition to the 58 tracks from the North American release, Rock Band will feature nine new tracks spanning German, French and UK hits including:

Rock Band’s unprecedented offering of over 70 songs to date currently available for purchase and download in the US will be made available in Europe beginning on Tuesday, May 27th. Each track will be available for 160 Microsoft Points on Xbox 360. Following that date, all new Rock Band Downloadable Content will be available simultaneously in the US and Europe on a weekly basis. Since its North American release in 2007, Rock Band has garnered over 40 awards including Game Critics Award: Best of Show E3 2007 and three awards at The 11th Annual Interactive Achievement Awards including Outstanding Innovation in Gaming, Family Game of the Year, and Outstanding Achievement in Soundtrack.

Die drei ??? kehren zurück

Die Hörspielreihe der drei Detektive aus Rocky Beach wird nach 3 Jahren endlich fortgesetzt und zwar wieder unter altem Namen: "Die drei Fragezeichen".

"EUROPA" (Sony BMG Music Entertainment) und der KOSMOS-Verlag hatten sich bereits im Februar außergerichtlich geeinigt im Rechtsstreit um die Urhebernutzungsrechte. Gleichzeitig hat man sich auf eine langfristige Zusammenarbeit zum Thema "Die drei ???" verständigt.

Die von den Fans lang erwartete Fortsetzung mit den Folgen 121 und 122 wurde am gestrigen 4. April veröffentlicht:

iphone Dev-Team: Pwnage Tool 1.0

Das iPhone DevTeam veröffentlichte heute mit dem PwnageTool eine neue Hack-Generation.
Die Applikation macht es möglich, beliebige Firmware-Versionen auf das iPhone zu spielen, sogar via iTunes. Das Gerät führt danach unsignierten Code aus.

Das Katz & Maus-Spiel zwischen Apple und der Hack-Community geht also in eine neue Runde. Das Tool ist ca 23 MB groß und setzt Mac OSX 10.4 oder höher voraus. Eine Windows-Version ist bereits in der letzten Testphase.

iPhone SDK jetzt mit Interface Builder

Apple hat heute eine neue Version des iPhone SDK veröffentlicht. Neu ist in erster Linie, daß der Interface Builder jetzt enthalten ist. Die Version ist "nur" noch 1.36 GB groß.

Interface Builder makes creating an application's user interface easier by allowing developers to use its graphical editing environment to manage virtually every aspect of creating a well designed user interface that adheres to the Aqua user interface guidelines.

MTV Games, Harmonix and EA Announce Rock Band™ for Wii on June 22, 2008

The number one selling game in February 2008 is coming to Wii!

Cambridge, MA – March 24, 2007-- Harmonix, the leading developer of music-based games, and MTV Games, a division of MTV Networks, which is a division of Viacom (NYSE: VIA, VIA.B), along with distribution partner Electronic Arts, Inc. (NASDAQ: ERTS), today announced plans to release the award-winning music video game Rock Band on the Wii™ home video game system from Nintendo in the U.S. and Canada on June 22, 2008 for the suggested retail price of $169.99.

Rock Band for Wii will be released as a Special Edition bundle including the software, drums, microphone and a wireless guitar. Stand alone instruments will also be available on June 22nd for people who want to build their band one instrument at a time or want to play the drum versus drum game mode. The game will feature 63 songs including five bonus songs for Wii gamers to enjoy.
